Who are you?
My name is Aimee and I spend most of the time either correcting how people spell it or explaining how an Italian girl wound up with a French name. To make matters worse, my middle name is Jenifer. Nope, no typo. Just one "N". Thanks, Mom.
I was born and raised a Jersey girl. Grew up outside of NYC my entire life. I also grew up in a Big Fat Italian Family. I'm sure you could tell me all of the stereotypes that surround both Jersey girls, Italians, and Italian Jersey girls. I have heard nearly all of them. Some are true.
If someone had told me when I was growing up that I was going to be a teacher, I would have said they were high. Somehow, I ended up in this profession and spend the better part of my time both loving and hating it.
All my life I have had no filter and been very opinionated. On more than one occasion, I have been told that I say what others are merely thinking. As a result, I spend a good portion of my time in trouble. But I make people laugh, which is what I live for, so it's all worth it.
I am sarcastic, witty, often vulgar, and making fun of myself long before others can. I use this blog as an outlet to write (which I love) and speak my mind (which I do frequently). If you are easily offended or have zero sense of humor, then this blog is SO not for you. Life is too short to take too seriously.
